Hey guys
lets talk about movies today..
Last night I got to see Angelina Jolie's first directorial debut picturing one of the most brutal
civil wars since the world warII .
I should say even though it got a lot of criticism from the bosnian victims and muslim women,She still managed to capture many aspects of that ruthless war in a language of a tragic romance between a muslim women and a serbian commander.
As an individual romantic girl myself who likes romance and some action I should say I really liked the movie , well aside from the last bitter scenes...
Now Im going to compare it to the oscar winner Iranian movie of this year called A separation directed by Asghar Farhadi ..which is a realistic debate about a divorce between a couple who had planned to move abroad, hoping to make a better future for their child but there are some issues, the husband is completely committed to care for his alzheimer afflicted father, so he refuses to move abroad with his wife, thus his wife moves back to her mom while their daughter is making a decision to either stay with her dad or leave iran with her mother.. meanwhile there are some obstacles in their lives which makes you involve in every part of it, you would get emotionally and mentally involved by each character and feel empathy for each one of them separately!!
This movie shows you the humility and compassion of an Iranian lives ! very real, very moving but tense and true...
last words about Ms.Angie's first directorial debut!! since I admire her and many things about her! why her movie didn't get to win the oscar for the best foreign language movie.? Is it because Ms. Angelina made muslim women look like an untrustworthy, betrayer and traitors creatures!?
Contempt and disrespecting hundreds and thousands of women who got raped and killed during the 1995 bosnian war?!! or she simply wanted to give us a taste on an unmerciful warfare!!
Either ways I recommend you guys to watch both movies .. They are 2 different movies with 2 different ideology.. You be the judge and let me know what you think of them!!?
till tomorrow.xx
